Paul Keoni Chun

Paul Keoni Chun started Keoni Movement Arts out of his own passion for doing yoga, dance, and gymnastics and from a deep desire to share these activities with others, particularly those with least access to them. He has acted, danced, sung, and tumbled professionally in Off-Broadway, Regional, and International theaters, has acted in numerous film and tv productions, and has danced in concert performances for notable modern and jazz choreographers. He is a member of Actors Equity and SAG-AFTRA, and is an Experienced—Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance.

Why do you love teaching for KMA? “Because it is a safe space where I can explore new ways of teaching the movement arts and I get to receive directly the happiness and love expressed by the students.”

Andrew Pacho

Andrew Pacho - or "Pacho" - is an immensely talented performer and teacher. As a competitive college gymnast, he came very close to making the 1984 Olympic team. After his competitive gymnastics career, he went on to dance with several prestigious dance companies including Mark Morris, Philadanco, and AntiGravity — and has performed in six Broadway shows, including Miss Saigon and The King and I. He has taught gymnastics and dance to every age and ability level. Pacho has an infectious personality that really brings out the best in each of our students.

Why do you love teaching for KMA? “I love INTERACTING with the children, and Special needs teens/young adults and the talented STAFF. Teaching for KMA has enriched my LIFE, each and everyone of them. The JOY and determination on their faces lights me up and reminds me of all the GOOD in this city & world.”

Katie Kohlbeck

Katie's first encounter with yoga as a teenager started out simple enough - just a VHS and a little bit of space in her bedroom. Katie is a 200-Hour certified yoga teacher and specializes in teaching adaptive yoga to individuals living with disabilities and/or mobility issues. She has also undertaken additional studies in restorative and prenatal yoga, and the application of yoga for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health issues.

Why do you love teaching for KMA? Whenever I teach or assist in class, I like to share healthy doses of compassion, humor, and humility - and the KMA community really embodies these values, too! I love that each student who comes to a KMA class feels welcome and truly embraced for who they are. It's a special community that I'm proud to be part of.
