For Teens, Adults and Seniors with Special Needs and Disabilities

Our special dancers have all been creating and learning together and would love to show you the dance skills they’ve mastered and the choreography that each had a hand in making. We have two groups of dancers, so we’d love to see you at one or both of our project-ending public presentations. Programs last around an hour with reception to follow. Project Information
Join us for a series of in-person movement arts classes! Adapting ballet, modern, jazz, and Broadway dance language with yoga and gymnastics principles, we work together in nurturing and expanding upon students' capabilities -- while providing joy and human connection through the arts and public performance!
This program is open to all on a first-come, first-served basis. Pay-What-You-Can. Nobody will be turned away for lacking an ability to pay.
Who should sign up: Teens, Adults, and Seniors with Special Needs and/or Disabilities. Ages 13 and over are welcome.
2 weekly sections to choose from:
Thursdays, 5 - 7 PM, September 7 - December 14, 2023. Enrollment limit: 10 individuals.
Fridays, 5 - 7 PM, September 8, 2022 - December 15, 2023. Enrollment limit: 10 individuals.
Other Project Details: each section will meet for 12 contact sessions, concluding with a public presentation at which participants will demonstrate the dance skills they’ve learned and the choreography they helped create. Family, friends, and KMA supporters will be invited. Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions, however attending on a drop-in basis is allowed. Please check KMA’s calendar to see the dates when each contact session is scheduled for. Ages 13 and over are welcome.
Location: Clinton Cameo Studios, 307 West 43rd St. (just west of 8th Ave in Manhattan)
Cost: Pay-What-You-Can. Actual Value: $250 for entire series or $25 per class. We will accept whatever you can afford.
Registration Process: 2-Steps
Step 1 — Secure your spots: Choose your preferred section - Thursdays or Fridays. In the registration form, you will be able to book spots for each class date you will be attending by changing the “0” to a “1”. While signing up for all class dates is not required, it is highly recommended to ensure that student will be ready for the final presentation. Choose your section by clicking one of these :
Step 2 — Payment: The forms above will ask how you would like to pay. We will follow up with an email, based on your response. Accepted forms of payment include: online with credit or debit card, cash or check in-person, Self-Direction reimbursement, or any other preferred method you may have. Again, our policy is pay-what-you-can, and nobody will be turned away for lacking an ability to pay.
